Judge Denies Another Request By Metro Police To Delay Oct. 1 Records

A judge accused the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department of gamesmanship before denying another agency request to delay the release of 911 calls and body camera footage from the October 1 mass shooting.

District Judge Stefany Miley says she’s frustrated over one delay after another.

In March, a judge ruled that Metro was obligated to hand over recordings to media organizations who were suing for their release. Metro appealed that decision.

The latest ruling means Metro is again obligated to immediately begin producing the records unless the high court grants a delay while the appeal is pending.
