Forest Service Taking More Public Comment On Ruby Mountain Plans

The U.S. Forest Service is taking more public comments regarding oil and gas leasing on public lands in Nevada’s Ruby Mountains.

During the first public comment period, more than 10,000 people submitted comments opposing the plan along with a coalition of national and statewide environmental groups.

The Forest Service is currently proposing to lease out 54,000 acres of the Ruby Mountains for oil and gas development.
