F-16 Fighter Jet Crashes Near Lake Havasu

An F-16 fighter jet crashed Tuesday morning after the plane tried to make an emergency landing at Lake Havasu City Municipal Airport.

The jet ran off the runway and through the airport’s north fence, while the pilot safely ejected.

The F-16 is assigned to Luke Air Force Base near Glendale. The crash comes almost three weeks after the death of an F-16 pilot near Nellis Air Force Base, outside of Las Vegas.
