Clark County School District Superintendent Pat Skorkowsky delivered his final State of the Schools address Wednesday.
After nearly 30 years with the school district, Skorkowsky announced last fall he will retire this coming June.
The event was held at Legacy High School in North Las Vegas, which this year boasted a graduation rate of more than 83 percent.

Skorkowsky’s departure is timed amid high budget deficits, an impending breakup of the school district and poor student achievement rankings.
Skorkowsky has said he will continue to advocate for the school district and support the next superintendent.
