Nevada Governor Fills Family Court Judge Vacancy In Reno

CARSON CITY, Nev. (AP) — A Washoe County juvenile court hearing master in Reno has been promoted to family court judge.

Gov. Brian Sandoval announced Tuesday that Dixie Grossman will fill the judicial vacancy created when Egan Walker was appointed last year to a Second Judicial District Court seat in Washoe County.

Grossman is 42 and was the only applicant for the post. Her nomination was approved March 12 by the Nevada Commission on Judicial Selection.
