UNLV President Len Jessup addressed the community Wednesday regarding recent reports about his impending departure.
In a letter sent to the UNLV campus community, Jessup said recent media reports are “misleading.”
Jessup went on to say that in recent conversations with Nevada System of Higher Education chancellor Thom Reilly he expressed his intent to begin looking at other opportunities.
The Nevada Independent reported Tuesday sources said Jessup was given a week to resign or be terminated. The ultimatum supposedly followed an evaluation in which Jessup’s handing of fundraising and management at the medical school were brought up.
