Zappos Layoffs Affect Roughly 30 Las Vegas Workers

Las Vegas company Zappos is laying off about 30 people.

The Las Vegas Review-Journal reports last week, the internet vendor told workers some processes are consolidating to an east-coast studio owned by parent company Amazon, while other functions are moving to a new Zappos studio in downtown Las Vegas.

A spokeswoman says Zappos is “working with affected employees, wherever possible, to help them find new positions inside the company.”

The retailer employs about 1,500 people.
