Clark County Commissioner and Democratic candidate for governor Steve Sisolak announced Monday that if he is indeed elected governor, he will forgo accepting a salary.
Sisolak’s campaign announced he will donate the governor’s $149,000 annual salary to nonprofit organizations that help the state’s education system.
Sisolak is running in a primary against fellow commissioner Chris Giunchigliani.

The winner of that primary will face one of the three Republican candidates currently in the race – Adam Laxalt, Dan Schwartz and Jared Fisher.
