Pastor Says He's Shaken By Witnessing Helicopter Crash

PHOENIX (AP) — A Las Vegas pastor says he was shaken by his experience in witnessing a sightseeing helicopter crash that killed three British tourists at the Grand Canyon.

The Arizona Republic reports that Pastor Lionel Douglass, who had traveled to the location in a separate helicopter, had just finished performing a wedding ceremony on Feb. 10 when he saw another helicopter from Las Vegas go down on tribal land outside Grand Canyon National Park.

Four others survived the crash and were hospitalized in critical condition.

The National Transportation Safety Board is investigating the cause of the crash.

Douglas, who had done numerous other weddings in the area over the years, called to his pilot to ask what the helicopter was doing.

As soon as the pilot turned around, the aircraft went down.
