Judge Orders Media Outlets To Destroy Autopsy Of Oct.1 Shooting Victim

A district judge has ordered the Las Vegas Review-Journal and The Associated Press to destroy copies of an autopsy report for one of the victims of the October 1 mass shooting.

Judge Richard Scotti issued the ruling in an action filed on behalf of Veronica Hartfield, the widow of shooting victim Charleston Hartfield.

Scotti’s ruling also forbade the RJ and the AP from further reporting on details of the Hartfield autopsy report.

The attorney for the RJ, Maggie McLetchie, filed an emergency appeal to the Nevada Supreme Court on Friday seeking to stay the order.
