Gov. Sandoval Wants To Work With School Superintendents On School Safety

Governor Brian Sandoval has said he wants to work with school superintendents across the state to discuss school safety.

An announcement came from the governor’s office Tuesday after Sandoval attended a meeting with the National Governors Association and President Donald Trump on Monday.

The first meeting of superintendents has not yet been scheduled, but is the beginning of what could lead to changes made during the 2019 Legislature.

Those changes could include creating a commission designed to focus on school safety. Sandoval said changes in gun laws should be made at the federal level.
