Power Goes Out - Briefly - At CES

The annual Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas is underway this week. CES is Las Vegas’ largest convention and one of the biggest tech shows in the world.

But Wednesday, the show went dark for a bit, as a power outage happened which lasted for a little more than an hour.

CES officials said a transformer failed, causing the outage in the south and central halls of the Las Vegas Convention Center.

The power went off just before noon and was back on shortly after 1 p.m.

The thousands of people attending the show got a chance to test the battery life on some of those latest gadgets.
