Payroll Dispute Delays Installation Of Pedestrian Protections Along The Strip

The installation of hundreds of more bollards along Las Vegas Strip sidewalks has been delayed for several more weeks because of an ongoing payroll dispute.

The steel posts are intended to increase pedestrian safety.

Tuesday, Clark County commissioners again postponed deciding whether to extend a contract with Muller Construction -- until they’ve completed an investigation into allegations that the company underpaid its employees.

This comes after two workers claimed to have been incorrectly paid for their ironwork. The investigation is expected to be finished by the first week of February.
