The North Las Vegas City Council unanimously voted in favor of appointing Ryann Juden to the fill the post of City Manager.
Juden is the former assistant city manager and took over in the interim after the abrupt departure of former city manager Qiong Liu last week.
Liu sent a memo to the city last week announcing an immediate retirement or resignation from the position after an incident with Juden in which she claims she tried to terminate him.

Liu rescinded both the termination and the comments in a separate memo. Juden’s new position comes with a 5 percent pay increase.
