CCSD School Board Looking For Public Input In Search For New Superintendent

The Clark County School District Board of Trustees is asking the public to provide input on their search for a new superintendent of the nation’s fifth-largest school district.

The board has started the process of searching for the new superintendent after Pat Skorkowsky announced his retirement on June 30.

The trustees will host a series of town hall meetings starting Tuesday and continuing through January 27 to collect input from parents, students, employees and the larger communities.

In a statement, the district said the meetings will be managed by Ray & Associates, the search firm that was hired to locate prospective candidates for the position. Skorkowsky has been with the district 30 years, five of them as superintendent.
