Casino Mogul Steve Wynn Accused Of Sexual Misconduct

Casino industry mogul Steve Wynn has been accused of sexual misconduct.

A report in today’s Wall Street Journal details accounts of several women who at one time or another worked in one of Wynn’s properties.

At one point, Wynn paid a $7.5 million settlement to a woman who worked as a manicurist, after she alleged that Wynn forced her into having sex with him in 2005.

Beyond that incident, dozens of people spoke to the Journal, describing behavior that included pressuring employees to perform sex acts. According to those sources, the behavior took place over several decades.

In a response to the Journal, Wynn described the allegations as “preposterous,” saying they were instigated by Wynn’s ex-wife, Elaine, whom he accused of seeking a revised settlement from their divorce in 2010.

An attorney for Ms. Wynn, in turn, said the allegations of her involvement in the story were not true. Wynn is also the Republican National Committee finance chair.
