Strip Table Players Do Well, Gaming Revenue Down

Gaming revenue for the month of November is down by 2.3 percent compared to last year.

Numbers released by the Nevada Gaming Control Board reported most of Southern Nevada’s casinos saw increases, with the exception of the Strip.

Revenue on the Strip was down 6.04 percent in November compared to November last year. Strip revenue dropped because gamblers did well at the tables.

Revenue was up in Downtown Las Vegas, North Las Vegas and in Laughlin. Revenue for Reno dropped by .08 percent and was flat in Sparks. In December, based on November’s gaming revenues, Nevada received $49.4 million in gaming taxes and fees.
