Colin Kaepernick In Running For Time Magazine's Person Of The Year

University of Nevada Reno alumnus and NFL free agent Colin Kaepernick is in the running for 2017’s Time Magazine Person of the Year. 

Kaepernick is on the shortlist for the honor alongside nine other candidates, including “Wonder Woman” director Patty Jenkins, North Korean leader Kim Jong Un, the #MeToo movement and President Donald Trump. 

Kaepernick was also recently recognized by the ACLU for his efforts to raise awareness of racial discrimination and police violence by taking a knee during the national anthem at football games.
