Report: St. George Facing Affordable Housing Crunch

St. George, Utah is among the region’s cities facing a shortage of affordable housing.

A housing plan presented to the Washington County Commission says there are less than 1,000 affordable housing units throughout Washington County.

The plan says that figure is about 3,500 fewer units than needed.

The study also says the median price for rentals in Washington County is $1,300 per month, with the median asking price for homes more than $370,000.
