NV Energy is withdrawing a proposed rate hike, at least for now. The hike would’ve meant an estimated increase of about $2 for the average residential customer.
The Nevada Independent reports the utility has decided to delay a push to increase the basic service charge intended to defray expected costs associated with a 2017 legislative measure reinstating favorable rates for rooftop solar customers.
NV Energy says the company is backing down from the proposal because of concerns raised by customers and other interested parties
