The Nevada Democratic party has filed an injunction in an attempt to stop recall efforts against three state senators.
Democratic Senators Joyce Woodhouse, Nicole Cannizzaro, and Independent Senator Patricia Farley have been the subjects of a months-long and contentious recall effort started by Republicans in the state.
One of the three efforts against Sen. Woodhouse is moving forward, since the petition garnered enough signatures to qualify for a special election.

The other two recall petitions are facing tight deadlines to get enough signatures submitted to the Secretary of State’s office.
The injunction to stop the recalls states that the effort upends the results of legitimate democratic elections.
