Record sales of recreational marijuana in the state are being reported for the third month in a row.
The Nevada Department of Taxation released numbers for the month of September, reporting $27.7 million in recreational sales.
That’s more than $5 million over what the state had projected. August sales topped $33 million, and July was around $27 million.
September’s sales mean about $2.7 million added to the state’s rainy day fund through a 10 percent excise tax.
