Sandoval Criticizes Trump Healthcare Order

Nevada Gov. Brian Sandoval has hit out against the Trump administration Friday and its plans to end certain kinds of health insurance subsidies.

Speaking to the Nevada Independent, Sandoval said the move would, in his words, hurt people, kids, families and others.

Sandoval also said the move would be "very destructive," noting the ripple effect it will have on healthcare costs in both rural and urban Nevada.

The governor has been outspoken in his support for the expansion of healthcare in Nevada – he was the first Republican governor to expand Medicaid access under provisions from the Affordable Care Act.
