LVCVA To Decide On Naming Rights For New 51s Ballpark

The Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority will decide Tuesday on spending $80 million on the naming rights for the Las Vegas Ballpark in Summerlin.

The stadium will be the future home of the minor league baseball team the Las Vegas 51s starting in 2019.

The Las Vegas Review-Journal reportsthe board of directors is scheduled to vote on the proposal and a contract with the 51s owners.

The Las Vegas Ballpark would be adjacent to Downtown Summerlin, east of Red Rock Resort near the new Vegas Golden Knights practice facility.

The agreement would guarantee $4 million annually for a 20-year term, starting in 2019 and extending until 2038.
