Largest Crowd Ever Expected For "Life is Beautiful" Festival

The annual Life is Beautiful festival is set to take over downtown this weekend with its largest crowd yet.

For the first time in the event’s five-year history, the three-day music and art festival sold out in advance.

Three-day passes went on sale April 27, and the entire allotment was gone within 90 minutes.

Last year, crowd numbers for the weekend reached 137,000, and this year is expected to surpass that.

Downtown motorists should expect heavy traffic and road closures in the area, accommodating 18 blocks of festival ground.

It is bounded by Mesquite and Bridger avenues and Sixth Street and Maryland Boulevard.
