Nevada Governor Brian Sandoval reiterated his opposition to a Republican-sponsored bill in the U.S. Senate to repeal and replace Obamacare.
Nevada Republican Senator Dean Heller is one of the authors of the bill Sandoval called a “false choice” in a statement sent to the Nevada Independent Thursday.
A state analysis estimates Nevada stands to lose between $600 million and $2 billion in federal funding by 2026 if the legislation passes.

In the statement, Sandoval said he would not “pit seniors, children, families, the mentally ill, the critically ill, hospitals, care providers or any other Nevadan against each other.”
The bill’s fate appears uncertain, as Arizona Senator John McCain, a key vote, has said he still does not support the repeal.
