LAS VEGAS (AP) — Police in Las Vegas say a man has been arrested in connection with a series of threatening phone messages that were left at the local office of the NAACP.
Police say 47-year-old Bradley Austin was arrested Wednesday. He faces one count of making threats or conveying false information concerning acts of terrorism.
Authorities say they learned on Monday that threatening messages had been left on the answering machine of the Las Vegas office of the nation's oldest civil rights organization.
Records show Austin was jailed on $20,000 bail. They do not list a defense attorney. Austin is scheduled to appear in court Thursday.
Representatives of the Las Vegas branch of the NAACP did not immediately respond to a request for comment on the case.
