Nevada Democratic Representatives Jacky Rosen and Ruben Kihuen presented information about a new law that could impact former members of the military, during a meeting Wednesday.

The Las Vegas Sun reports Kihuen, Rosen and other state lawmakers spoke with the University of Las Vegas Nevada’s Rebel Vets and Student Veterans of America about the Forever GI Bill.

President Trump signed the bill earlier this month.

The law expands the GI Bill program by $3 billion in the coming 10 years. It also makes benefits permanent for veterans who left active duty during or after 2013.

The measure also grants full GI benefits to Purple Heart recipients.
