Cosmopolitan Of Las Vegas Announces Multi-Million Dollar Upgrade Plans

The Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas is investing more than $100 million to upgrade its rooms, joining a growing list of Strip casinos making upgrades to their properties as tourism picks up again.

The Las Vegas Review-Journal reports the high-rise casino will gut more than 2,800 rooms in its first major renovation since opening nearly seven years ago. Casino officials said the Cosmopolitan launched the upgrade of the Boulevard Tower in June and aims to complete it before the end of the year.

Caesars is also upgrading the Flamingo this month after recently finishing upgrades at Planet Hollywood, and is also planning to upgrade Bally’s. MGM is in the middle of a $450 million makeover of the Monte Carlo.
