BLM Looks For Public Input On Ely Restoration Project

The Bureau of Land Management in Ely is asking for public comment on the Egan and Johnson Basin Restoration Project.

The Ely Times reports the project would reduce wildfire risk and improve Greater Sage-grouse habitat within the basins, which are located about five miles west of Cherry Creek, Nevada.

The BLM would thin certain pinion-juniper trees, and treat invasive plant species. A 30-day public comment period will conclude Monday, Aug. 28.
