Storey County Sheriff Faces Another Sexual Harassment Lawsuit

Storey County Sheriff Gerald Antinoro is facing another lawsuit by a formal chief deputy who claims she was sexually harassed and was unwillingly transferred out of the department to work as a court bailiff.

The Reno Gazette Journal reportsthe lawsuit was filed just four months after the sheriff survived a recall election that stemmed from various allegations of misconduct – such as sexual harassment, wrongful terminations, ethical violations and budget problems.

In July 2016, another lawsuit was filed against Antinoro by a woman claiming she was sexually harassed and fired for being a woman. In another incident, Antinoro reportedly made racial slurs and inappropriate comments toward the county manager, the district attorney and other sheriff’s deputies.
