Planning Commissioner Announces Plans To Run For City Council

As the dust settles from last month’s municipal elections, Las Vegas Planning Commissioner Cedric Crear officially announced he plans to run for the Ward 5 City Council seat.

He made his plans official Tuesday, nearly two years before the next election cycle. Councilman Ricki Barlow has represented Ward 5 since 2007, but Barlow is term limited in 2019.

Barlow appointed Crear to the Planning Commission in 2015. Crear also represents District 1 on the Nevada Board of Regents. The municipal primary races are held in April of odd-numbered years.
