Palace Station Upgrades May Include Convention Center

Palace Station may be moving forward with plans to build a convention center. Vegas Inc reports the company submitted plans for a new 335-foot tower and convention center to the City of Las Vegas this week.

Station Casinos hasn’t released a construction timeline or a description of the facilities and said it’s deciding whether the expansion is feasible. Documents submitted to the city indicate the structure will be 27 stories with a little more than 600 rooms.

The plans could also include a pool deck, convention center, a central utility plant and a rooftop restaurant and lounge. The expansion includes more than 42,000 square feet of non-restricted gaming space, for a total of 126,000 square feet. Station officials said they planned to spend $70 million in 2017 to upgrade and expand the locals resort.
