Officials in Clark County and Las Vegas approved 37 dual-use permits for medical marijuana dispensaries to begin selling recreational marijuana.
Twenty-five permits for dispensaries in Clark County and 12 permits in the City of Las Vegas were approved during separate meetings Wednesday by the Las Vegas City Council and the Clark County Commission.
A wrench was thrown in the state’s plans to start selling recreational pot on July 1, when a Clark County judge ruled last week that exclusive licensing rights should go to liquor distributors for the first 18 months.
