Clark County Commissioner Mary Beth Scow sent her letter of resignation to Gov. Brian Sandoval Tuesday, according to the Las Vegas Sun.

Scow said she would be leaving her post at the end of the month to spend more time with her family. Scow represents the county's District G, which is the southeastern section of the valley.

She was first elected to the county commission in 2010 and re-elected in 2014.
