Two associations that represent Washoe County law enforcement have gone to court to halt the release of the video of an altercation with officers that led to an inmate’s death last year.
The Reno Gazette-Journal reports the groups have asked for a temporary restraining order against Sheriff Chuck Allen, who wants to release the video.
The medical examiner ruled 35-year-old Justin Thompson’s August 7 death a homicide by complications of physical restraint.
