The President of the Oakland Raiders apologized for the backlash prompted by a draft lease that would have limited UNLV’s use of the proposed stadium in Las Vegas.
The Las Vegas Review-Journal reports the draft lease submitted in January would have required the Raiders to approve the Rebels’ football schedule. It also would have stopped the addition of UNLV markings on the field.
Raiders President Marc Badain clarified the lease agreement during a meeting with the Las Vegas Stadium Authority board Thursday. He said there would not be any issues between the NFL and UNLV over use of the field or markings on the field.
UNLV President Len Jessup attended the stadium authority meeting and said he’s unconcerned about the draft lease’s language.
