Northern Nevada is finally getting a reprieve from the winter weather that has wreaked havoc over the last several days.
National Weather Service meteorologist Brian O'Hara tells the Reno Gazette-Journal that skies are clearing and it'll be dry and sunny through the weekend.
Officials say skiers welcomed several inches of fresh powder at areas in the Sierra Nevada.

Four inches fell Thursday in areas south of Reno, an about eight inches near Gardnerville.
But, O'Hara says another storm next week could bring feet of snow to the mountains and a few inches at lower elevations and valleys.
But he says Truckee River water levels should continue to drop.
