Collins, Fiore File To Run For Municipal Elections

Tuesday marked the opening of filing for municipal elections in Clark County, and a couple of familiar faces are amongst those who plan to run for office this year.

Former Nevada Assemblywoman Michele Fiore filed paperwork Tuesday to run in Ward 6, currently represented by Steve Ross.

Ross is term-limited and cannot run for re-election, though it has been speculated his wife Kelli plans to run for that seat as well.

Incumbents Stavros Anthony and Bob Beers have also filed for re-election in their respective wards.

Meanwhile in North Las Vegas, former Clark County Commissioner Tom Collins has filed to run for that city's council in Ward 3.

Collins was rumored to have been running for mayor of North Las Vegas, going so far as to telling media outlets such in 2015, but opted instead for a council race.
