LAS VEGAS (AP) — The voter registration deadline in Nevada is here.
Election officials say residents have until the end of the day Tuesday to register to vote in the upcoming Nov. 8 election.
Registration can only be done in person at a county Election Department office or through the Nevada Secretary of State office's website.
In Las Vegas, county Election Department offices will be open from 8 a.m. to 9 p.m. on Trade Drive in North Las Vegas and at the County Government Center on Grand Central Parkway in downtown Las Vegas
In Las Vegas, Reno and elsewhere around the state, voters can register until just before midnight using the Secretary of State voter services website, https://nvsos.gov/sosvoterservices .
As of September, registration records showed there were almost 1.4 million active voters in Nevada.
