Southern NV Home Prices Increase Slightly

A realty group says median home prices in southern Nevada are continuing to rise, inching up to $236,000 in July.

The increase was less than 1 percent, but the Greater Las Vegas Association of Realtors reported Tuesday that the median sale price of existing single-family homes rose from $235,000 in June.

The figure is up 7.3 percent from $218,000 a year ago.

Condominium and townhome prices remained steady at about $115,000 — the same as last month and last year at this time.

Association president Scott Beaudry says a tight housing supply is continuing to push prices up.

The organization says about 3,400 existing local homes, condominiums and townhomes were sold in July.

That was down from about 3,800 in July 2015.
