Reid "Dubious" Of Legalizing Recreational Marijuana

Senate Democratic Leader Harry Reid says he's "dubious" of legalizing recreational marijuana and wouldn't support it if he had to vote today.

Reid made the comments to reporters after an unrelated event in Las Vegas on Tuesday.

He said he's a "huge fan" of medical marijuana because he's had friends who have benefited greatly from it, but expressed doubts about a measure that will appear on November's ballot to broadly legalize the substance for adults in Nevada.

Reid said he wanted to see how the debate progresses and said that ballot measure proponents haven't made their case to him yet.

His comments come the same day that the Nevada Sheriffs' and Chiefs' Association announced it was opposing the measure, which is called Question 2.
