Officials say state businesses produced $4.8 billion in taxable sales in June, an increase of nearly 10 percent from the same time a year ago.

The Las Vegas Sun reports that figures from the Nevada Department of Taxation show nine of the state's 17 counties posted increases in taxable sales from June 2015 to June 2016.

Taxable sales in Clark County rose by more than 10 percent to $3.6 billion during that time period.
