LAS VEGAS (AP) — A Las Vegas pub will surrender its gaming license after three shootings have taken place at the establishment.
The Nevada Gaming Commission approved a settlement Thursday that will involve Scoundrels Pub Inc. giving up its restricted gaming license.
Scoundrels owner David Zderik says the pub closed in December. It was located in what Deputy Attorney General Ed Magaw called "an unfixable location."
Crosby & Fox LLC attorney David Crosby, who represents Zderik, says there were regular shootings in the area and there's nothing Zderik could have done to stop them.
Commission chairman Tony Alamo says it's the first time in a couple years that someone has surrendered a license. He says he would have considered revoking the license if Zderik did not surrender it voluntarily.
