Democratic PAC Running Ads Against Heck

A Democratic super PAC is launching TV ads attacking Republican Senate candidate Rep. Joe Heck for positions he's taken on bank taxes and Social Security.

Senate Majority PAC says it will start running $900,000 in commercials in Reno and Las Vegas on Friday.

The ads say Heck accepted more than $300,000 in contributions from Wall Street interests and banks and is putting them before Nevada families.

It says he sponsored a bill to give banks a $44 million tax break, which refers to a bill he supported in 2007 as state lawmaker that never became law.

It also says he wants to risk retirement savings on the stock market, citing an interview in a 2010 congressional race he won.

He's running a highly competitive race against Democrat Catherine Cortez Masto.
