Seven Magic Mountains Vandalized

A colorful art project in the Nevada desert has been vandalized less than a month after it opened near Interstate 15.

Nevada Museum of Art communications director Amanda Horn confirmed Sunday that someone left graffiti on the Seven Magic Mountains display.

The installation of stacked, brightly-colored boulders was created by Swiss artist Ugo Rondinone. It's about half an hour from downtown Las Vegas and will be on view for two years. It took five years and more than $3 million to produce.
