Beatty To Get Higher Water Rates

Residents in Beatty will soon have to pay higher rates for water.

The Pahrump Valley Times reports rates will go up by $4.40 over the next two years.

The extra revenue from the raised rates is meant to cover repairs to the town's water infrastructure, like a tank meant for storage and a pump to get water out of the ground.

The increase in rates was approved unanimously by the town's water and sanitation board.
