A public meeting last week on a proposed solar farm on Fort Mojave tribal land ended after no residents in attendance spoke in favor of the project.
The Laughlin Times reports residents were unhappy that the local Tribal Council did not seek public input before announcing the proposal.
Others expressed concern over the solar farm's location, as it could impact the fly patterns of migratory birds and the migration of wild tarantulas.
