Clerical Error Forces Do-Over Of State Finance Board Meeting

CARSON CITY, Nev. (AP) — A state board chaired by Gov. Brian Sandoval had to cancel an April meeting and redo all of its work from a March meeting after discovering agendas weren't posted correctly.

The Nevada Appeal reports a March agenda for the Nevada Board of Finance was not posted properly to the internet and therefore violated the state's open meeting law. The board met on Wednesday to reconsider the five items it had addressed in March, including a $90 million housing project in Reno.

State Treasurer Dan Schwartz told The Associated Press that the mistake happened in his office, but said there were no outside complaints about it and "for all practical purposes, it made no difference."
