The Clark County District Attorney's Office is creating a new team to look at potential wrongful convictions.
The Las Vegas Sun reports the taskforce was approved as part of the new Clark County budget.
The group will consist of an investigator, paralegal and assistant district attorney.

Together, they will investigate cases involving convictions that come under question because of new evidence.
The group would then look to implement practices to prevent such instances from reoccurring.
The group would be the first like it in Nevada.
